Epson has announced that it has brought Apple AirPlay 2 and Apple HomeKit to many of its 2025 projectors. The company said that the move "addresses the growing demand for effortless streaming", be that in business settings, schools or at home.
According to Epson, Apple AirPlay 2 and Apple HomeKit are pre-installed on eligible models. These include the PowerLite EB-L6, EB-L7 and EB-L8 series projectors, unveiled at ISE 2025. These are fixed-lens laser models with a WUXGA resolution and up to 8,000 lumens brightness. Other models include the EB-994F, the EB-FH54 and the EB-L690SU, all of which are more affordable options for business or educational use. A complete list of supported models can be found below.
Apple AirPlay 2 was released in 2018 as a feature which allows users of an iPhone, iPad or Mac to wirelessly share content with a connected device. Video, audio and photos can be shared from various apps or Safari. Apple HomeKit is the brand's smart home platform, allowing you to connect various smart devices. Users will be able to control these Epson projectors through the Apple Home app or with Siri voice commands.
