New Casio G-Shock MTG-B4000 carbon frame watches launching soon

The Casio G-Shock MTG-B4000BD-1A and MTG-B4000B-1A watches are on the way. These upcoming additions to the brand’s range will join older MTG-B4000 Series watches like the MTG-B4000D-1A, which launched in early 2026.
Leaked images of the Casio G-Shock MTG-B4000BD-1A and MTG-B4000B-1A watches have been shared by sources like morgan_gshock on Instagram (post below). The MTG-B4000BD-1A appears to be an all-black watch, with a layered composite band. The MTG-B4000B-1A is also a predominantly black watch, though it has red accents across the dial and casing. Plus, this model has a resin bracelet instead of a composite strap. Both variants are expected to have the brand’s new Dual Core Guard structure with a carbon frame, stainless steel casing and sapphire crystal.
Casio’s G-Shock MTG-B4000 is a radio-controlled model with Bluetooth connectivity for smartphone link tools like auto time adjustments. On the dial are three analog hands and a series of subdials. It supports world time, and also offers a 1-second stopwatch, a timer and a daily alarm. This Triple G Resist model is shock resistant, vibration resistant and centrifugal force resistant. Other features include an LED backlight, 200 m water resistance and Tough Solar charging for an extended battery life.
Blog Great G-Shock World suggests that the MTG-B4000BD-1A watch will retail for ¥203,500 (~$1,276), while the MTG-B4000B-1A with its resin strap will be cheaper at ¥176,000 (~$1,104). These two Casio G-Shock MTG-B4000 watches are expected to launch in Japan in May 2026. Whether or when they could reach other countries like the US, where the brand already sells the MTGB4000-1A (curr. $1,400 at Amazon), is unclear.
