After incessant requests from owners, Xiaomi finally the released Android 10 update for the Mi A2 Lite over a month ago. The update was disastrous, however, and bricked a number of devices. The company has now released a new Android 10 build.

Over a month after Xiaomi released the much-awaited but ultimately fatal Android 10 update for the Mi A2 Lite, the company is back with a new update for the device.

The update weighs in at 1.15 GB and delivers Android 10. The initial update was pulled after reports of it bricking phones surfaced, so a significant percentage of the Mi A2 Lite user population never updated to Android 10. This update is for them: the ones who never installed the first Android 10 update, or updated and downgraded back to Pie after.

Xiaomi has pretty much botched all the Android 10 updates to its Android One phones. The company began the Android 10 rollout with the Mi A2 back in January, then followed it up with updates to the Mi A3 and the Mi A2 Lite. All three updates were buggy. The company continues to do itself no favors with its handling of software updates to its Android One offerings.

There are no current bug complaints about this new release, and we're hoping Xiaomi actually ironed out all issues with this build.
