Netflix is preparing to transform living rooms into interactive game nights this holiday season with the launch of five new party games available to stream directly off TVs, including the recently released Lego Party! and retro Tetris Time Warp from Digital Eclipse.
On October 9, 2025, Netflix announced these multiplayer titles to encourage family gatherings on the couch and play video games without needing additional hardware, simply using their smartphones as controllers via a QR code connection.
Lego Party! debuted on the Nintendo Switch last month for $39.99 and takes Mario Party’s formula by challenging up to four players to compete in whimsical mini-games while collecting golden bricks.
Tetris Time Warp, on the other hand, was released as a part of the 2024 interactive anthology Tetris Forever, which invites Netflix subscribers to time-travel through Tetris history, spanning from the blocky 1984 original to the iconic Game Boy era.
Joining these two titles is Boggle Party, a frantic word-forming race against the clock where players scramble letters into as many words as possible, either solo or with up to eight friends. Another party game, Pictionary: Game Night, is joining the roster known for drawing-and-guessing.
Also in play (pun intended) is Party Crashers: Fool Your Friends, a social deduction game reminiscent of Among Us, where one player secretly crashes a party with clues and guesses, forcing the remaining group to unmask the imposter.
All five games are expected to roll out “soon” during the holidays as part of any Netflix subscription at no extra cost. However, the exact dates are unconfirmed, with the streaming service teasing more titles to expand its gaming lineup.
Netflix continues to build up its gaming ecosystem, which already boasts over 100 mobile titles and has seen significant engagement. The company is now shifting its focus to couch co-op experiences.
The move is seen as a smart one on Netflix’s part to boost retention amid competitive streaming wars, especially with cross-generation appealing titles like Lego Party!, which caters to both adults and younger audiences. In contrast, Tetris Time Warp caters to 80s and 90s nostalgia for older players.
Trying to tap into the casual gaming boom, where puzzle and party genres trump playtime according to industry trackers like Newzoo, Netflix is going all-in on bringing gaming to its live-streaming service.
