Motorola Moto X40 Specifications, Pros and Cons
Source: OI Spice Tech News English
Motorola Moto X40 is a flagship smartphone released in December 2022. The phone comes with a 5G chipset and the expected price of the phone is around $700 (Rs 59,000 in India) approx. Talking about specs, Moto X40 has an OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The phone runs on Android 13 OS and has custom support of MYUI 5.0. For core performance, it has a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset that offers 1×3.2GH speed in multitasking and gaming with Adreno 740 GPU. Motorola X40 offers multiple RAM and storage options such as 8GB/12GB and 128GB/256GB/512GB. The main triple camera setup is also amazing and can work well even in low light. It has a 50MP main camera, a 12MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, it has a 60MP wide-angle camera with HDR support. For video recording, both side cameras support 4K video recording at 30fps, but gyro-EIS support is only available on the rear camera. Bringing attention to the sensors, the phone has an under-display fingerprint, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass, USB Type-C charging support, stereo speakers, and many more. Motorola Moto X40 comes with Li-Po 4600 mAh battery backup and is supported by 125W wired, 15W wireless and 5W reverse wired charging. The IP68 protects the phone from water and dust and the gorilla glass Victus on the back protects the phone from damage. The phone is available in black and blue color options only.

Motorola Moto X40 Review: The 2nd Gen of Snapdragon 8
Source: Igeekphone English
In other words, the moto X40 is comparable to the models on the market equipped with 4700-4800 mAh batteries. If the capacity is the same, the moto X40 will have half an hour more battery life. Judging from product design and actual performance, the moto X40, which focuses on business style, focuses on practicality without compromising on quality. It can be said to be very competitive at the same price. If you need a business-style mobile phone that is not too ostentatious, has extremely high requirements for performance in daily experience, and also needs to take photos in multiple scenes, then this moto X40 is very suitable for you. Do you want to consider getting one?

Qualcomm Adreno 740: Graphics chip for smartphones and tablets that is integrated within the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Qualcomm claims that it is 25% faster than the Adreno 730 in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and first benchmarks show that the GPU can beat the Apple A16 iGPU (previously the fastest smartphone GPU).

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

SD 8 Gen 2: High-end SoC for smartphones that was introduced in late 2022 with a fast prime core based on a ARM Cortex-X3 architecture clocked at up to 3.2 GHz. Two more performance cores are based on the A715 and also support only 64 bit applications. The two additional A710 cores support also 32 bit applications as do the power saving Cortex-A510 cores. In addition to the processor cores, the SoC integrates a WiFi 7 modem, a Hexagon DSP (for AI acceleration) and a Spectra ISP. The integrated memory controller supports fast LPDDR5x memory with up to 4,200 MHz. 5G is included in the chip with the Snapdragon X70 modem.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

Only a few smartphones have larger screens.
Large display-sizes allow higher resolutions. So, details like letters are bigger. On the other hand, the power consumption is lower with small screen diagonals and the devices are smaller, more lightweight and cheaper.

Only few smartphones are more lightweight than this.

Motorola: The original company Motorola Inc was split in 2011. Motorola Mobility got the smartphone range and was taken over by Google in 2012 and by Lenovo in 2014. The Motorola smartphone brand continues for the time being. There are still a lot of reviews on Motorola Mobiles with average ratings.
