Motorola Moto G54: Leaked official images reveal new mid-range smartphone in three launch colours
It appears that Motorola is preparing to expand its Gx4 smartphone series, having only released the Moto G14 so far. As we have discussed separately, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) recently published initial documentation for the Moto G84 5G likely the series' flagship model. Additionally, the company has prepared the Moto G54, which TheTechOutlook leaked earlier this month.
Now, Evan Blass has published what appear to be official high-resolution marketing images of the Moto G54, which we have embedded below. Unquestionably, the Moto G54 bears a closer resemblance to its predecessor, which we reviewed only a few months ago. For one, the former retains the latter's twin rear-facing camera set-up that intersects a flat back panel. Additionally, the Moto G54 has a flat display with a comparatively thick bottom bezel, another similarity with the Moto G53.
Motorola has made tweaks in a few areas though, such as a subtle curve to the back panel's edges that should make the Moto G54 more comfortable to hold than its predecessor. Also, it looks as though Motorola has slimmed the upcoming device's top and side bezels, which are rumoured to surround a 6.5-inch, 1080p and 120 Hz panel. Moreover, Motorola has optically stabilised the Moto G54's 50 MP primary camera, which the Moto G53 lacked. While pricing and a release date have leaked yet, the appearance of official marketing images implies that Motorola will announce the Moto G54 soon.
