Motorola has confirmed that it will be offering its next flagship candybar smartphone in more than just the 'Ink Rhyme Black' colourway it has shown to date. Additionally, the Edge 30 Ultra will be available in 'Clear Frost White', a slick-looking colour option that has a colour-contrasting camera housing. Motorola has confirmed more display specifications for the Edge 30 Ultra too, which will launch in China as the Moto X30 Pro.

Motorola has shared more teaser images for the Moto X30 Pro, which it will eventually release as the Edge 30 Ultra. Incidentally, its parent company has already listed the smartphone on its website ahead of its release, confirming more details in the process. Specifically, Motorola will offer the smartphone in 'Ink Rhyme Black' and 'Clear Frost White' colour options. To date, Motorola has only previewed the upcoming flagship in Ink Rhyme Black.

As the images above and below show, the Clear Frost White option appears to have a satin finish to it, coupled with a silver frame punctuated by two physical buttons. Additionally, Motorola has applied a silver finish around the device's camera housing, offset by a smaller black portion surrounding its 50 MP ultra-wide-angle and 12 MP telephoto cameras. For reference, the large top lens is the ISOCELL HP1, a 200 MP camera with a 1/1.22-inch optical format that Samsung announced last year.

Separately, Motorola equips the Edge 30 Ultra with 6.7-inch display that operates at 144 Hz. While Motorola has not confirmed whether the display relies on AMOLED or IPS technology, it will reach 1,250 nits and will cover the DCI-P3 colour space fully. Based on the latter detail, it would seem likely that the display is of the former variety, not the latter. Allegedly, the display will offer a peak brightness of 1,000 nits when viewing SDR content, too. Meanwhile, Motorola states that the large display will also offer a 1,500 Hz touch sampling rate, matching the forthcoming Legion Y70.

Furthermore, Motorola has teased the capabilities of its 125 W power adapter. Reputedly, the Edge 30 Ultra's battery will go from 0-50% charge in just 7 minutes. However, the battery will take 19 minutes to recharge fully, four minutes longer than Xiaomi's competing 120 W charging technology. The Edge 30 Ultra will debut on August 11 in China as the Moto X30 Pro. Seemingly, Motorola will get ahead of Xiaomi by introducing its next-generation smartphones at 14:00 CST (06:00 UTC), a few hours before the release of the MIX Fold 2
