The newly released Moto Z2 Play and the upcoming Z2 Force may be on all the headlines but on the sides stand the Moto G5S and its plus-sized sibling, the Moto G5S Plus.
We're not fans of Motorola's naming scheme—G5, G5 Plus, G5S, G5S Plus—as it's rather tedious, but these entries look promising. A new leak appeared earlier on, detailing some information on the G5S Plus.
While the G5S is to sport a 5.2" display, the G5S Plus goes larger with a 5.5". Not much of a plus to that, we'd say. The G5S Plus is also powered by a Snapdragon 625, which is a significant upgrade from the Snapdragon 430 on the G5S.
Camera-wise, the G5S Plus features dual rear cameras (13MP+13MP), with one being a regular sensor and the other a monochromatic one. The G5S, on the other hand, comes with only one rear camera. There's an 8MP camera at the front of the G5S Plus, and a 5MP on the G5S.
Both being mid-rangers, are expected to come in variants of up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Good enough for most purposes.
While release dates are unconfirmed, there's a chance they may be announced alongside the Z2 Force and X4 on July 25. We'll be sure to keep you updated.
