The purported G5S and G5S Plus will each carry larger displays than the current G5 and G5 Plus with a new all-metal design.

Evleaks is at it again with a supposed 2017 roadmap for the Moto family of Lenovo smartphones. Some of the upcoming smartphones include successors to the current Moto G5 and G5 Plus that have yet to be publicly announced. Both the G5 and G5 Plus are currently under review in our labs with full reviews to be published soon.

Additionally, leaked press images for the Moto G5 successor in multiple color options have appeared on Android Authority where the smartphone is believed to be launching as the Moto G5S. When compared to the G5 and G5 Plus, the G5S will supposedly have a full-metal chassis instead of only on the back surface. Plastic antennae strips can be observed on the top and bottom of the smartphone to avoid signal attenuation from a closed metal casing.

Remaining specifications for the Moto G5S and G5S Plus are their respective 5.2-inch and 5.5-inch displays each at native 1080p whereas the existing G5 and G5 Plus are 5-inch and 5.2-inch smartphones. Of course, this information should be taken with a grain of salt and both prices and release dates are still unknown at this time.
