Mobvoi finally rolls out Wear OS 4 for TicWatch Pro 5 smartwatches in new update
Mobvoi is rolling out Wear OS 4 to the TicWatch Pro 5 and TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro smartwatches in phases. A beta program for the new software was launched in April, allowing a limited number of users to test various features. A stable version of the update is now on the way to customers worldwide.
Wear OS 4 brings new phone transfer and backup and restore tools to both TicWatch Pro 5 wearables. The update brings the latest security patch and general improvements to the watches’ stability. Also included in the release are optimizations relating to TicMotion, such as more accurate cycling activity detection and more frequent data detection. The TicWatch 5 Pro has 25 new workouts, additional workout data, and a customizable workout list. The new TicHealth app collects data from TicPulse, TicOxygen, TicZen, and TicSleep. On top of this, you can tailor auto-pause for various types of exercise and share real-time data with third-party apps like Strava.
The software also brings a range of bug fixes to the smartwatches. You can find the full changelog on Mobvoi’s website. According to the release notes, TicWatch Pro 5 and TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro users will be notified when the update is available for their smartwatch; the roll out is expected to be completed later in September.
