Miyoo A30: New tiny retro gaming handheld released ahead of rival Anbernic and MagicX launches
Miyoo has beaten Anbernic and MagicX to the punch by releasing the A30, its take on the landscape 2.8-inch gaming handheld. As Retro Game Corps notes, the Miyoo A30 is orderable from Keep Retro initially rather than Miyoo itself. Additionally, the YouTube channel believes that the Miyoo A30 may be 'a bit cheaper' when it lands on Miyoo's website at some stage.
It is unclear when Miyoo will start stocking the A30 at this stage though, let alone how many units it will have on hand. As such, Retro Game Corps stresses that Keep Retro could be a better option for those who want to purchase a certain colour or memory configuration. As expected, Miyoo packages the A30 within a 127 x 58 x 15 mm housing and with the following hardware:
- Allwinner A33 (4x ARM Cortex-A7 CPU cores/ARM Mali-400 MP2 GPU)
- 2.8-inch IPS display, 640 x 480 native resolution
- 512 MB RAM
- 2,500 mAh battery
At the time of writing, Keep Retro is offering the A30 in Red & Golden, Whole Black, Black & White and Grey finishes, all with the choice between a 64 GB or 128 GB MicroSD card. For reference, the retailer is selling the former for $55.99 and the latter for $65.99. Please note that Keep Retro estimates that it will begin shipping Miyoo A30 units around June 15. However, this date could be moved forward, presumably depending on when Miyoo delivers units to Keep Retro. Please see Keep Retro's product page for more information.
