The successor of the Vapor is now official as the Misfit Command and can be pre-ordered starting at US$112.49. This hybrid smartwatch comes with a regular cell battery that can last up to an entire year.

I have no idea what others think, but if I had to choose between a smartwatch with all the features in the world but a battery that lasts no more than two days and a watch with basic notifications and increased autonomy, I would definitely go with the latter. The new Misfit Command seems to be exactly what I need - a hybrid smartwatch that packs the best of these two worlds, although some might not enjoy the absence of a touchscreen display.

Misfit Command comes right after the Vapor smartwatch that arrived at the end of last month after quite a few delays, but this new wearable is the direct successor of last year's Misfit Phase. Just like the Phase, the Command "delivers the smart alerts you want and need, right to your wrist" and can also track various sleep and fitness goals. Its users can easily create custom notifications, while the smart button of this wearable can be used to play music or take pictures using a connected handset, all via the Link App that is available for Android, iOS, and Windows 10-driven devices.

The Misfit Command is waterproof up to 50 meters and offers the brand's longest battery life to date, employing a user replaceable cell battery that provides up to one year of autonomy. In terms of design, the customers can choose between a silicon sport strap and a stainless steel bracelet, as well as four matte finish choices. The body of the Misfit Command is made using stainless steel and accompanies a satin aluminum face.

The Misfit Command can be pre-ordered for US$112.49 (down from an MSRP of US$149.99) or US$127.49 (US$169.99 MSRP). In addition to the few strap options available by default, a wide range of 20 mm straps can be acquired separately.
