Nvidia has announced the arrival of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on its game streaming service, GeForce Now.
The availability of this popular title enables flying enthusiasts to enjoy realistic flights across a highly detailed virtual globe without having to waste hours installing the game, use gigabytes of bandwidth, or buy a gaming PC with a fast Nvidia GPU card (like this one on Amazon). Early release testing showed the game streaming up to 81 GB per hour.
MSFS 2024 also has heavy system requirements for optimal play, including an Nvidia 4080 or better with 12 GB of VRAM, 64 GB of RAM, 50 GB of free storage, and 100 Mbps of Internet bandwidth. This puts the game out of reach for casual gamers who don't invest in top-end gaming rigs. Readers who insist on installing and playing the game locally can buy MSFS 2024 from Amazon.
GeForce Now hosts all the games on its cloud servers and can run Flight Simulator at 4K 120 fps. Subscribers can play the game with systems that only have a dual-core CPU, 4 GB of RAM, a basic DirectX 11 GPU, and bandwidth as low as 15 Mbps, according to its system requirements. GeForce Now also supports gaming from within a web browser as long as the system meets the minimum requirements.
