Metro Exodus is 90 percent off on the Epic Games Store at $2.99 until November 9, with the Gold Edition at $3.99 and the ray-traced PC Enhanced Edition at no cost.

PC players have until Monday, November 9, 2026, to pick up Metro Exodus at a 90 percent discount on the Epic Games Store. The standard edition of 4A Games’ post-apocalyptic shooter drops from its regular $29.99 price to $2.99, matching the lowest price the game has sold for on PC. The promotion ends at 9:00 AM PST (17:00 UTC).

For an extra dollar, the Metro Exodus Gold Edition is also 90 percent off, falling from $39.99 to $3.99. It bundles the base game with the Expansion Pass, which covers both single-player story expansions, The Two Colonels and Sam’s Story. Players who already own the base game can buy the expansions individually at 85 percent off, with The Two Colonels down from $6.99 to $1.04 and the sandbox-style Sam’s Story down from $9.99 to $1.49. All purchases also earn 5 percent back through Epic Rewards.

Free PC Enhanced Edition requires ray tracing

Owning Metro Exodus on the Epic Games Store also grants access to the Metro Exodus PC Enhanced Edition at no extra cost. Released in May 2021 as a separate download rather than a patch, it adds ray-traced global illumination, ray-traced emissive lighting and advanced ray-traced reflections, along with Nvidia DLSS support. Ray tracing cannot be switched off, so a compatible GPU is mandatory, and 4A Games lists an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 as the minimum.

Original release runs on older hardware

Players without a ray tracing GPU can stick with the original 2019 release. Its minimum requirements call for an Intel Core i5-4440, 8 GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 670, GTX 1050, or AMD Radeon HD 7870 with 2 GB of VRAM. The recommended specs step up to an Intel Core i7-4770K paired with a GeForce GTX 1070, GeForce RTX 2060, or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56.

A year-long journey across post-apocalyptic Russia

Set in 2036, two years after the events of Metro: Last Light, Metro Exodus takes the series out of the Moscow Metro tunnels. Players follow Artyom as he leads a band of Spartan Rangers across Russia aboard the Aurora, a heavily modified steam locomotive. The campaign links classic linear Metro sections with large, non-linear sandbox levels across a full year of changing seasons, with scavenging and on-the-fly crafting used to keep a hand-made arsenal running.
