Monster Hunter Outlanders’ November 6 update reworks Radiant Great Girros, lifts the Apex Challenge Order cap and fixes Paolumu, Hammer and display bugs on mobile.

The Monster Hunter Outlanders operations team rolled out a maintenance update on November 6, 2026 (UTC), for iOS and Android. Arriving eight days after the game’s October 29 global launch, the patch applies to all servers without downtime, so players can keep hunting while it installs. If the changes do not take effect, a client restart completes the update.

Radiant Great Girros changes and Apex Challenge Order limits

The headline combat change targets Radiant Great Girros. The monster now enters its Fever state the moment it triggers Radiant Rage and immediately summons Radiant Girros. The patch also fixes a Free Hunt bug where Paolumu would not take to the air for long stretches, which blocked players from completing related research objectives.

For endgame players, the developers raised the storage limit for Apex Challenge Orders in Apex Challenge mode, which opened on November 7. Anyone who exceeded the new cap by buying orders from the Season Shop before the adjustment will be compensated for lost orders in a future update. Research-related quests have also been improved, and the interval between Guild Recruitment messages has been adjusted to reduce clutter in the World Channel.

Weapon Insight, display, and Ruger Aidal fixes

On the weapon side, the Fated Adventurer’s Hammer Insight, Strike Frenzy, can once again follow up into Big Bang Finisher in Adventure Mode. The Heavy Bowgun Insight, Veteran Gunner, now takes effect in the specific circumstances where it previously failed. These follow the November 2 update, which fixed sheathed Hammer evading failing to clear Fireblight.

Display fixes address graphics quality settings that could not be adjusted on certain devices and abnormal character shaking in High Frame Rate Mode. The team also corrected Ruger Aidal’s size in the Investigation Notes, repaired model assets in the Grand Archipelago field, and stopped false “Part attack ineffective” messages during Apex Challenges. Other fixes restore the Milestone Bargains event so players can claim its rewards, repair scrolling in the Guild Clash Leaderboard and chat history, resolve missing shop prices, and address login failures in certain scenes.

System requirements

Monster Hunter Outlanders is free to play on iOS and Android, with controller support and a mainland China release planned for 2027. The official site recommends iOS 17 or later, Android 12 or later, and a smartphone or tablet with at least 6.0 GB of RAM.
