Deal | Epic sci-fi RPG of intergalatic proportions now reduced by a record 92% at Steam

Fans of the original Mass Effect universe who are yet to try out the 2021 remasters are now in for a real treat: Steam has now slashed the bundled price of the Mass Effect trilogy by 92% for a total of $4.79. Named Mass Effect Legendary Edition, it comprises all three titles in the Mass Effect series: Mass Effect (2007), Mass Effect 2 (2010) and Mass Effect 3 (2012).

Re-released in May 2021 for the PlayStation 4, Windows and Xbox One (renewed units available at Amazon for $165), each game underwent a remaster, gaining sharper visuals, technical refinements and tweaks to gameplay. The original Mass Effect saw the biggest overhaul of the three, with particular attention paid to its graphics, combat systems, vehicle controls and loading times.

Mass Effect has garnered a huge fan base for a number of reasons, drawing critical acclaim for its narrative-driven storyline in particular. Decisions you make, even minor ones, ripple across the entire trilogy, such as who lives, who dies, which alliances form and so on. Each game has its own identity, with the first being more RPG/exploration-heavy, the second character-focused, and the third a war epic. Altogether they form a complete and emotionally complex trilogy. The deal is set to expire on June 25.
