Players play as Geralt of Rivia, a monster-slaying mercenary known as a Witcher. The game is based on the Witcher series of fantasy novels by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. The narrative is choice driven and the game's story has three possible endings, shaped by the choices players make at pivotal moments throughout the story.
