Deal | MacBook Air M2 and M3 13.6-inch laptops on sale at Amazon for lowest prices ever
It's back to school time, and that means great deals on solid laptops. In that vein, Apple is selling both the M2 MacBook Air 13 and M3 MacBook Air 13 at their lowest prices ever.
The M2 MacBook Air 13 introduced a redesign for the MacBook Air, including the return of Apple's Magsafe charger. The laptop has a 13.6-inch 2560x1664 display that gets up to about 500 nits bright. It also sports two USB4 Type-C ports (40 Gbps) and a headphone jack. Crammed into its svelte case is Apple's M2 SoC, which has 8 CPU cores and 10 GPU cores. The key selling point for the MacBook Air is longevity; while the M2 chip is more than powerful enough for daily tasks (and can even handle photo and video editing), the MacBook Air lasts for hours. In our review, the M2 MacBook Air 13 managed just over 15 hours in our WiFi battery test.
The M3 MacBook Air 13 maintains the same design as its older brother but bumps the internal specs by a fair bit. This laptop features much faster WiFi 6E (which scored twice as fast in our tests) and the new M3 SoC, which averaged about 20% faster than the M2 in our tests. While it has the same capacity, the M3's SSD is much faster than the M2's as well. Lastly, the M3 MacBook Air's battery life is just a bit longer than the M2's, rounding out at 15 hours and 14 minutes.
