Reviews for the MSI Prestige 13 AI Plus Evo A2VMG
MSI has refreshed its lightest 13-inch laptop with Lunar Lake processors to replace the older Meteor Lake options. The changes have boosted both battery life and graphics potential without increasing fan noise or weight.

What stood out most for me when testing the MSI Prestige 13 AI+ Evo is the OLED screen – it's rich and sharp and excellent in terms of contrast. The battery life – which can be a bit of a worry on Windows laptops like this (especially those with OLED screens) – is the second standout positive, lasting for impressive periods. In terms of everything else, it's a bit more run-of-the-mill – and by that I don't mean it has drawbacks, just areas where you'd struggle to tell this apart from other laptops in the same sort of price range. The CPU and RAM combination are way ahead of what you'd get on cheaper models, however, and will cope with most tasks admirably. But gamers and professional creatives are going to need a little more. Overall, I'd say the MSI MSI Prestige 13 AI+ Evo ticks the vast majority of the boxes you want in a laptop like this – and if you can find it at a discount price then it's a compelling offering.

The MSI Prestige 13 AI+ Evo is lightweight in construction and lightweight in performance. The former guarantees maximum portability whereas the latter forces the laptop to only find usefulness when performing light to medium workflows. The biggest problem though is the price which I think will compel most people to buy the M4 version of the MacBook Air instead.

Intel Arc 140V: A pretty fast integrated graphics adapter that higher-end Intel Lunar Lake family processors employ. This is a direct successor to the Arc 8; it can drive three SUHD 4320p monitors simultaneously via HDMI 2.1, eDP 1.5 and DP 2.1. With the 140V, all 2023 and 2024 games are playable at 1080p on low graphics settings.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Core Ultra 7 258V: An upper mid-range Lunar Lake family processor. It sports 4 new Skymont E-cores and 4 new Lion Cove P-cores running at up to 3.7 GHz and 4.8 GHz respectively, along with the new Arc 140V iGPU and 32 GB of on-package LPDDR5x-8533 RAM. It essentially matches the Core Ultra 7 165U and Core i7-1360P in multi-thread performance and it eats up to 37 W when under short-term workloads.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
