Deal | MSI GL65 10SFK with 144 Hz 3 ms display, GeForce RTX 2070, 512 GB NVMe SSD, and 16 GB RAM now on sale for $1400 USD
The performance gap between the mobile RTX 2060 and mobile RTX 2070 is not insignificant at about 20 to 30 percent depending on the laptops in question. Gaming laptops with the RTX 2070, however, will often retail for hundreds more than those with the RTX 2060. The 15.6-inch Asus Strix Hero G531GW with the RTX 2070, for example, retails for $1700 compared to $1300 for the RTX 2060-powered Asus ROG Strix G15 G512LV as of this writing.
This latest MSI GP65 deal on Amazon is notable because it is one of the least expensive 15.6-inch gaming laptops we've seen equipped with a GeForce RTX 2070. It doesn't appear to cut any corners elsewhere on the specifications sheet either with its Intel 10th gen Core i7-10750H CPU, 144 Hz/3 ms 1080p display, 512 GB NVMe SSD, 16 GB of DDR4-2666 RAM, and per-key RGB keyboard lighting.
The main drawbacks to the system are nothing out of the ordinary. The loud fan noise, high core temperatures, and thick bottom bezel are common on most gaming laptops like the Alienware m15 or Asus ROG G15. Upgrading storage or RAM is easy, but it will require tearing a factory seal sticker which may impact your warranty.
