Model: The MSI GE63 8RE-045NL is a gaming laptop that comes with colorful appearance and high performing hardware specifications for hardcore gaming on the go. It is called Raider RGB laptop which featured a Steelseries RGB keyboard. There are two RGB light strips on the lid, an MSI logo and a red dragon shield on aluminium with a brushed pattern, which definitely stands out. Upon opening the lid, the Steelseries RGB keyboard definitely steal the show again. A user can customize the color of the keyboard by each key using the pre-installed MSI program. There is also a separate button on the keyboard to change color mode. The GE63 weighs at 2.49 kg (5.5 lb) and measures at 383.54 x 259 x 30.48 mm (15.1 x 10.2 x 1.2 inch). The laptop is on the heavier side but it is common for gaming laptops to be heavier. For display, the GE63 features a 15.6-inch display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. It's a high-quality panel that displays in high contrast and vivid image quality. The display covers 184 % of the sRGB color gamut, easily beating many other gaming laptops. It is also bright enough to be used in indoors. The GE63 definitely can render games very well, even at high details with its Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 boasting 8 GB of VRAM. The powerful GPU is matched with an Intel Core i7-8750H Coffee Lake CPU, 16 GB of RAM, a 256 GB, M.2 SATA SSD and a 1 TB, 7,200-RPM HDD. With this specifications, a user should be able to run resource-hungry applications without lag.

The Dynaudio speakers on the laptop are loud and clear, which is a plus on a gaming laptop. There's also Nahimic 3 to adjust audio quality. This laptop also has enough connections to connect peripheral equipment. It has three USB-A 3.1, a USB-C 3.1 port, an HDMI port, a Mini DisplayPort, an Ethernet 1 Gbps port, an SD card reader and an audio connection. As for battery life, the GE63 comes with a 51 Wh battery. However, the RGB light can definitely increase battery consumption, thus it is recommended to only turn on the RGB light while plugged in. As for software, the GE63 runs on Windows 10 and has some MSI software installed. It has MSI True Color, which changes the screen color temperature for late-night gaming and browsing. MSI Killer Control Center lets a user decide which programs and games should get priority on the network. As a conclusion, MSI has delivered a gaming laptop, which can satisfy most gamers on the go with impressive design and great hardware. The solid build and the company’s long history in producing gaming laptops make this laptop an ideal laptop for gamers who wants a high-performance gaming laptop.
