Logitech releases MX Master 4 Developer Edition with new design and AI support

Logitech has introduced the MX Master 4 Developer Edition at its Creative Day event in Shanghai, held on October 30 and 31. The company describes it as the first special edition in the MX series' more than 20-year history.
The special edition has a light gray and silver finish, a dark gray palm rest and bright green accents. Its surface features programming references, syntax prompts and circuit-inspired patterns. The design is intended as a tribute to developers rather than a hardware refresh.
Logitech had previously listed the same developer-themed mouse on its US website as the MX Master 4 Special Edition. We covered its launch in October.
The Developer Edition retains the standard MX Master 4 features, including its MagSpeed scroll wheel, Haptic Sense Panel and Actions Ring. We have already examined these features in our Logitech MX Master 4 review.
Logitech supports the AI assistant through a plugin in its Logi Options+ application, allowing users to assign compatible device shortcuts to WorkBuddy functions. These include meeting summaries, real-time translation and document generation. The plugin supports Windows and macOS.

Price and availability
The Logitech MX Master 4 Developer Edition has an official Chinese price of 999 yuan (approximately $150), while the MX Master 4 Special Edition is listed for $119.99 in the US. JD.com offers the Chinese version for 899 yuan (approximately $135) after China's national subsidy. The purchase also includes 500 Tencent WorkBuddy points.
Logitech has not confirmed whether the WorkBuddy promotion will be available in other markets.
