This is the first ever third-party keyboard compatible with the iPad Pro Smart Connector and has been developed closely with the Cupertino company.

Apple unveiled yesterday the company's largest and most powerful iPad to date, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Almost at the same time, Logitech took the wraps off the first third-party keyboard for the new slate. According to the official press release, Logitech CREATE is also "the first ever third-party keyboard compatible with the iPad Pro Smart Connector."

Thanks to the Smart Connector, the user no longer needs to power on, set up or charge the keyboard, as this peripheral is no always ready. Logitech CREATE has a full-size keyboard  that has been designed together with Apple to work with iOS 9, while "the color and finish of the keyboard are meticulously crafted to feel and look like the other half of your iPad Pro." The case provides "thin and lightweight protection," while the premium fabric material can easily handle spills, scratches, as well as accidental bumps.

Logitech CREATE keyboard case for Apple iPad Pro will hit the market at the same time as the tablet, but pricing is not available yet. More details should be unveiled by Logitech soon, so stay tuned.

Although I have been writing about new software and hardware for almost a decade, I consider myself to be old school. I always enjoy listening to music on CD or tape instead of digital files and I will not even get into the touchscreen vs physical keys debate. However, I also enjoy new technology, as I now have the chance to take a look at the future every day. I joined the Notebookcheck crew back in 2013 and I have no plans to leave the ship anytime soon.
