Deal | Like Stardew Valley, but as a fantasy RPG: Farming sim now under $7 instead of $25

In Sun Haven, players don't just plant crops and harvest vegetables – they also cast spells and fight monsters. Developed by Pixel Sprout Studios, the farming sim combines the cozy countryside life of Stardew Valley with a full-fledged fantasy RPG. Released in 2023, the game is currently 72% off on Steam, dropping to $6.99 from $24.99. According to SteamDB, the farming sim has never been this cheap before. It's also playable on the Steam Deck.
The adventure begins in the medieval town of Sun Haven, where players take over a rundown farm and work to restore it to its former glory. However, farming is only one part of the experience. As the story progresses, players venture into various regions, including mysterious elven forests, a dark city inhabited by monsters and even an underwater world. Along the way, they'll face plenty of monsters and bosses. Combat takes place in real time, with swords, crossbows and magical spells at their disposal. The RPG elements go well beyond basic combat. Equipment comes with different stats, while extensive skill trees allow players to specialize in melee combat, ranged attacks or magic.

Sun Haven has been generally well received on Steam. Players appreciate the combination of fantasy RPG and farming simulation, particularly praising the varied game world. Most criticism focuses on technical issues. Some players also complain about the amount of grinding required – although that's practically part of the genre's DNA. Overall, the farming RPG has received around 26,000 Steam reviews, with a solid 80% positive rating.
