Queen’s Domain brings King’s Field-style dungeon crawling to PC

Developer Freshly Baked Games and publisher Future Friends Games released the retro fantasy first-person action RPG Queen’s Domain on October 30, 2026. The game is available on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, and it is single-player only. On Steam it costs $19.99, with a 15% launch discount running through launch week. The game takes inspiration from King’s Field, FromSoftware’s earliest series. The developer describes its look as a lovingly crafted retro fantasy aesthetic.
Isle of Neasied story
Players wash ashore on the Isle of Neasied and set out to find their father, who disappeared on the island. The setting is an interconnected, labyrinthine world where secrets and dangers wait around every corner. Sinister forces are gathering across the isle, and the sleeping Queen has begun to stir. The developer says most players will get at least 40 hours out of the game.
Combat and progression
Combat is built around a classic stamina meter, powerful charge attacks, weapon-specific special attacks, and secondary throwing weapons. Players can find, equip, and upgrade more than 50 melee weapons, while more than 20 types of throwing weapons support different strategies. Experience points go toward leveling up, and eating food raises stats further. The island holds more than 100 enemies, mini-bosses, and bosses.
Holy Sword traversal
Traversal centers on the Legendary Holy Sword Endu, which lets players fly from platform to platform and across gaps. Upgrades let the sword carry players farther.
Steam Deck, demo and background
Queen’s Domain is verified for both Steam Deck and Steam Machine, according to the developer’s Steam announcement. A free demo has been on Steam since December 4, 2025, and it holds a Very Positive rating from more than 850 user reviews. It covers the opening area, a first dungeon, and a boss fight, taking about an hour for most players. The official soundtrack is available at launch, with a game-and-soundtrack bundle on Steam.
