Lian Li: New case uses large, transparent LG display - and comes with a cup holder that can keep your drink hot or cold
The manufacturer Lian Li is also known for its eye-catching and unusual cases, with the company also targeting enthusiasts with rather high-priced models. The range also includes cases in the shape of a desk, in which the PC is installed to be visible from above. The Lian Li DK-07 is a new case with such a shape, which also has a display. However, this does not block the inevitable view of the built-in hardware - an LG screen with a diagonal screen size of 30 inches is used, whereby it is a transparent display.
The panel can also show image content semi-transparently, and the manufacturer shows in a video how crashing waves are displayed. Apart from the transparent display, the model is also said to have an impressive range of functions. For example, there are also built-in drawers and drinks can also be placed on the display. They can even be heated or cooled.
The equipment also includes a retractable USB hub, which can be used to charge numerous devices, and a wireless charging pad is also available. Two radiators up to 360 millimeters long can be installed, and numerous fans can also be fitted for appropriate cooling. Four 3.5 or 2.5-inch drives can also be accessed from the outside without opening the case and a monitor arm can be mounted. Currently, this is only a prototype and there is no information on its price or availability.
