Lenovo teases networking edge for upcoming flagship Legion gaming tablet

Lenovo is gearing up to launch a new gaming tablet, the Legion Y700 Gen 5. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the current top-end SoC from Qualcomm. Through past teasers, the brand has confirmed the design and revealed the display specs of the tab, and now, a new teaser suggests that the device will sport performance-focused network acceleration tech.
In the new teaser, Lenovo says that the upcoming tablet can offer a more responsive online gaming experience than competing tablets. The brand claims that there can be up to a 54.8% difference in terms of latency in challenging network environments. This tech also seemingly reduces game stutters in such conditions.
The company didn't go through the tech, and it's unclear how Lenovo is making such claims. It's possible that the company has integrated a dedicated network enhancement chip inside the tablet, similar to the Honor RF C1+ chipset that's inside Honor's flagship phones.
As for the other specs, Lenovo has already confirmed that the Legion Y700 Gen 5 gaming tablet will feature an 8.8-inch display with a 165 Hz refresh rate and an 800 nits brightness rating. Recent reports have also hinted that it will pack a 9,000 mAh battery with 68 W fast charging support (Anker 140 W charger curr. $89.99 on Amazon), and the top-end configuration will feature 24 GB of RAM.
There's still no official word on when this Legion gaming tablet will launch, and it's still unclear whether Lenovo will offer it in the global market. The last-gen Y700 Gen 4 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, for example, didn't make an international debut.
