Lenovo releases new 14-inch laptop globally with Snapdragon X2 Elite and 1,100 nit OLED display

Lenovo has quietly released its new Yoga Slim 7x. Still a 14-inch laptop, the Yoga Slim 7x (14Q8Y11) replaces the Yoga Slim 7x (14Q8X9) that debuted almost two years ago (curr. $919 on Amazon). Meanwhile, Lenovo previewed the 14Q8Y11 in January during CES 2026.
To recap, the new Yoga Slim 7x combines a 14-inch OLED display with LPDDR5X-9523 RAM and a 70 Wh battery. According to Dave2D, Lenovo's suggestions that the laptop can sustain over a day's battery life are accurate. It is worth noting that models with a 1800p (2.8K) OLED display will not last as their 1200p counterparts.

Also, Lenovo's 1200p OLED display maxes out at 60 Hz and 400 nits or 500 nits in HDR mode. By contrast, its 2.8K option reaches 120 Hz and 500 nits with up to 1,100 nits HDR peak brightness, for which Lenovo charges $60 for the privilege. Initially, Lenovo claimed that the new Yoga Slim 7x would reach the US for $949.99. Currently, that is not the case outside of the UK and some parts of the Eurozone.
Instead, the Yoga Slim 7x (14Q8Y11) starts at $1,739.99 because of a Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-88-100 chipset and 32 GB of RAM. The same is true in Canada too, where the laptop retails for CAD 2,419. In comparison, Australia, the UK and parts of the Eurozone have received Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-42-100 and 16 GB of RAM variants as their starting SKUs.
As a result, the Yoga Slim 7x (14Q8Y11) costs £1,050 in the UK and €1,200 in Ireland. Prices start at €1,399 and €1,599 in Germany and France, though. At launch, the Yoga Slim 7x costs AUD 2,269 in Australia.
