Lenovo previews a launch for the ThinkPad T14s Gen 3 (AMD) in the US
Lenovo has added a "Coming Soon" page for the third-gen ThinkPad T14s. It initially debuted at MWC 2022 as the series' first-ever device with a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display. The OEM has now also noted that this panel will have anti-glare, anti-reflection and anti-static (or AGARAS) properties in the new T-series variant.
On the other hand, the laptop will also come to the US with the option of WUXGA or 2.2K IPS screens of 300 to 400 nits of brightness instead. They share 16:10 aspect-ratios, Eyesafe blue-light-reduction certifications and anti-glare coatings with the top-end OLED panel.
Lenovo has also announced that the T14s Gen 3 (AMD) models coming to the US will be "built with the planet in mind" as they come with some components such as the speaker enclosure and fast-charging adapter made of post-consumer materials.
They will also be outfitted with a fingerprint reader, an up-to-FHD (plus IR) webcam with a privacy shutter and 1 USB 4-enabled type-C port (although all the rest of the space for data ports is taken up by 3 type-As). Those looking for Thunderbolt via the same port might need to keep waiting for this machine's Alder Lake-powered counterpart.
Accordingly, pricing for this new 14-inch ThinkPad with up to Ryzen 7 PRO 6xxx APUs should finally be revealed soon; then again, Lenovo has yet to specify when this will be exactly.
