Lenovo launches affordable Intel-powered laptop with 14-inch display

Lenovo has introduced a new affordable laptop in China under its sub-brand, the Lecoo 14 Core Edition, with the Core i5 13420H. This Intel processor has an 8-core configuration, and it's part of the Raptor Lake-H lineup. That is, it's not one of the latest options from Intel.

However, with 16GB of RAM, the processor inside the new Lenovo laptop should be able to handle day-to-day tasks with ease. Media shouldn't be an issue either, as the Xe G4 iGPU with 48EUs has support for hardware-accelerated H.264, HEVC, and VP9 encoding and decoding.

The company further notes that the 55Wh battery will enable it to offer long runtimes, and while the capacity isn't anything to boast about, it should be good enough for multi-hour light office work and watching media. There's support for 65W PD fast charging through the USB-C ports.

As for the display, this Lenovo Lecoo laptop comes with a rather boring panel. It's a 14-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels, 60Hz refresh rate, and 300 nits brightness rating. The good part is that the display has 100% sRGB coverage and DC dimming.

Its port configuration is decent as well, and the new Lecoo 14 Core Edition comes with the following selection of ports:

• 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C with DP1.2 and 65W PD
• 1x USB 2.0 Type-A
• 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
• 1x 3.5mm audio
• 1x HDMI 1.4

A stereo-speaker setup, a 16.6mm thin chassis, and 1.2kg (about 2.65lb) weight are among the other highlights of this Lenovo laptop. In China, the configuration with a 512GB SSD costs CNY 3,999, about $593. The company didn't share anything about the global launch yet, but the 2026 IdeaPad Slim 3 has a similar set of specs (curr. $649.97 on Amazon).
