Reviews for the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s 2in1 Gen1

86.1% Lenovo ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 Gen1 Review - New business convertible raises questions | Notebookcheck
Lenovo has a new business convertible called the ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1. It offers plenty of business features as well as 5G connectivity, but the combination of an Intel Arrow Lake processor with low power limits, comparatively thick chassis, and soldered RAM raises questions.
70% Lenovo ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 Gen 1 Review
Source: Trusted Reviews English
The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 Gen 1 is a solid enterprise-grade convertible laptop with a functional chassis, comfortable keyboard and trackpad, decent internal grunt and good battery life. For what you’re getting, though, it is quite expensive, and the 1920×1200 IPS display feels weak for the price. The Dell Pro 14 Premium isn’t a 2-in-1 laptop, but it offers a lighter chassis, a higher-res OLED screen, and much better endurance for a similar outlay to this ThinkPad. Even in Lenovo’s own range, the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition comes with a lighter frame, a similar processor and battery life figure, plus a 14-inch 2.8K OLED 120Hz screen for around £100/$100 more in price. This is a solid 2-in-1 business laptop that ticks most of the right boxes for battery life, comfort and functionality, but the more basic screen is what’s holding it back. 80% The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 is perfect for anyone who wants a laptop for work and only work – but it's expensive, and the display options are unimpressive
Source: It Pro English
A quick hands-up in the ITPro office proved two points. Firstly, we'd all be quite happy being given a ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 as a work laptop. Secondly, no way in Hades would we buy one with our own money. As a practical tool for work, there's nothing much wrong with the T14s, though by 2026 standards. The keyboard is superb, the design and build-quality beyond criticism, the battery life is good enough to get through a full day's graft, and then some, and the webcam is class-leading. Performance is solid, too, and we like the way it runs cool and quiet. The problem is the cost. Unless you are happy with the pauper specification of 16GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, Wi-Fi 6E, etc, you will need to spend almost £2,000 and still have to make do with a laptop with a FullHD IPS screen with at best full sRGB gamut coverage.

70% I tested the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 Gen 1 - a fresh spin on my favorite portable business laptop
Source: Techradar English
The ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 Gen 1 is a business-class machine with the reliable, well-known durability and build quality of the ThinkPad Brand, a strong battery, and now a 2-in-1 design. While it’s not perfect, it’s a great device for the right user.

75% The ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 is Lenovo's first user-repairable convertible that's actually (almost) affordable
Source: XDA Developers English
The ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 is a solid laptop option if you need a convertible to fill out your office laptop fleet, or if you need to host presentations using your personal laptop for your small business. It's also a great option for a tech enthusiast who wants a repairable, upgradable laptop with additional hardware-based security thanks to the T14s 2-in-1's Intel vPro processor. But if you want a ThinkPad T-series laptop with the best battery life, the Snapdragon version has the best battery life of the bunch, with the Intel clamshell Lunar Lake model coming in second. The processor inside the T14s 2-in-1 isn't an inefficient CPU, but it'll last as long as a standard workday, so it's not great if you tend to forget your charger at home or at the office.

Intel Graphics 4-Core iGPU (Arrow Lake): Integrated graphics card based on the Xe LPG architecture (similar to the dedicated Arc GPUs, but with a focus on efficiency). Provides 4 Xe cores (64 Xe vector engines) and 4 ray tracing units.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Graphics Cards and the corresponding Benchmark List.

Ultra 7 255U: High-end mobile processor based on the Meteor Lake architecture. Offers 2 performance cores with up to 5.2 GHz (incl. SMT) and 8+2 efficiency cores with up to 4.2 GHz and can therefore process 14 threads simultaneously. Similar to the Core Ultra 5 155U, however, the Compute-Tile is manufactured in the new Intel 3 process and offers higher clocked CPU cores.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
