Unlike the more budget-focused Lenovo laptops that have recently been put on sale, the ThinkPad P14s is a mobile workstation that is intended for users with more demanding use cases. Therefore, the 14-inch business machine is equipped with a fairly capable dedicated graphics card in the Quadro T500, but thanks to a new deal, the second generation of this notebook has become almost as affordable as some of its lower-end companions.

Instead of the original MSRP of more than US$3,000, the Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 2 can now be bought at a huge 78 percent or US$2,490 discount on eBay, which results in a sale price of just US$709. Arguably, this is a very reasonable price for a 14-inch laptop that sports an Intel Core i7-1185G7 quad-core Tiger Lake processor, 16GB of soldered memory as well as the Nvidia Quadro T500 dGPU with 4GB of VRAM. Last but not least, this version of the ThinkPad P14s comes with a 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.

Our comprehensive review of a similar model variant of the Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 2 showed that the mobile workstation has good battery life of more than nine hours when surfing the web, but we also enjoyed the high-quality input devices as well as the Full-HD IPS display and its decent color reproduction and good contrast ratio. However, we noted that the laptop can get quite hot which results in some noticeable CPU throttling during constant load. Overall, this deal is an appropriate choice for productivity-minded users who need more GPU performance than a X1 Carbon can offer.
