There is no lie, the ThinkPad L13 Yoga is not for everybody. If you are solely interested in the artistic properties of the device, there are cheaper and perhaps, more suitable laptops. And if business-related work is on your hand, you can surely find more cost-efficient solutions, like the ThinkPad E15, or the HP ProBook 430 G7.

As I mentioned right from the beginning, it's missing a bunch of the perks that you'll find on something premium like the ThinkPad X1 Yoga. There's no Thunderbolt 3, there's no IR camera, it has bigger bezels, and it's heavier. That's most of what you're missing though.

Lisa Gade review the Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Yoga, the most affordable member of the ThinkPad family of Yoga 2-in-1 Ultrabooks with 360 degree hinges and a ThinkPad Pen Pro in a silo located on the laptop’s side. This is the Intel 10th gen refresh with Comet Lake quad core CPUs (vPro available), a full HD IPS touch display with Wacom AES digitizer, and a fast M.2 NVMe SSD. The laptop has USB-C, a ThinkShutter privacy webcam shutter, fingerprint scanner, optional Windows Hello IR camera and ample ports. Pricing starts at $677.

The ThinkPad L13 Yoga didn't set our benchmark charts on fire, but that shouldn't detract from its status as a desirable convertible laptop. Its size and weight are eminently portable, and it comes with the stylus that many 2-in-1 models omit or charge extra for. Both its keyboard and screen are above average, and its build quality is sturdy and elegant.

I’d recommend it to anyone looking for the bare minimum, in a good way. The L13 isn’t a designer laptop, but it has everything a user would need to get their work done such as a decently vibrant touch screen, pen for notetaking, ok battery life, latest chipsets for a boost in processing output for more demanding Office 365 tasks, and a plethora of I/O for connectivity. There is very little to be negative to be discussed about this laptop. I think any business looking to outfit its IT staff or single pro would benefit in handing them an L13. It’s lightish, portable, and gets the job done for under $1,000.

The ThinkPad L13 Yoga is decently priced high performing mid-ranger. There aren't any marketing gimmicks built into the sales price or pitch for this device unlike others on the market that highlight things like 4K OLED panels, ultra-lightweight build materials, dedicated GPUs or more. What the L13 represents is the processor refinements of Intel in its 11the gen chips. Intel's 11 gen chips are raising the bar of performance for all devices they power and the L13 is no different. Lenovo played it safe with this year's design and delivered a reliable device that, if bought in bulk with business discounts, may actually save companies a few thousand on the yearly hardware budget while providing employees a flexible upgrade.
