Leaked hands-on video reveals Motorola's upcoming phone in detail

Days after Motorola detailed the specs of its upcoming Edge 70 Max, a leaked video of the phone has emerged, giving us a better look at the phone. The footage shows the device in a pale green color option, with a flat display, slim bezels all around, and a raised square camera module on the back.
A closer look at the camera island in the video confirms a Sony Lytia 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a detail Motorola had not disclosed on its own Flipkart microsite. The Edge 70 Max pairs its glass back panel with flat aluminum edges and includes a dedicated AI button on the left side, while the power and volume keys sit on the right.
Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore has also shared leaked renders of the device, showing it in three Pantone color options: Onyx Black, Sage Green, and Glacier Blue. Ambhore's leak also points to a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED display with Quad HD+ resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 7,000 nits of peak brightness, along with a 5,500mm² vapor chamber for heat dissipation.
The video and renders follow Motorola's own announcement of the Edge 70 Max's launch date and several key specifications. The company has confirmed the phone will launch in India on July 15 at 12 PM local time, running on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a 3nm chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and the same 5,500mm² vapor chamber seen in the leaks. Motorola claims the phone can hit an AnTuTu score of over three million points.
On the display, Motorola confirms a QHD+ LTPO panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 7,000 nits of peak brightness, 10-bit color depth, DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The company also cites a 95.12 percent screen-to-body ratio.
Motorola has confirmed the phone will pack a 7,100mAh battery with 90W wired charging, along with 25W magnetic wireless charging. The phone uses an aluminum frame and a glass rear panel, matching what has been shown in the leaked video and renders. Motorola has not yet disclosed pricing for the Edge 70 Max.
