Leaked OnePlus 7 Pro hands-on pictures confirm Snapdragon 855, 48 MP camera, and more
So far, we've seen a few renders and leaks of the upcoming OnePlus 7 smartphone. Now, hands-on images of what appears to be a OnePlus 7 Pro have surfaced on the Chinese site Weibo. It may be recalled that OnePlus had announced intentions of introducing a distinct 5G lineup with true flagship-grade features. From what we are getting to see, there could in fact be three variants of the handset available.
The leaked images seem to show off the front and left side of the device with the About Phone screen revealing quite a few features. It may be noted that the About Phone shows a OnePlus 6T representational image but that could just be a placeholder as the software is unlikely to be finalized yet. For starters, the OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC just like the non-Pro variant. The image shows this particular model to have 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. It is verily possible that OnePlus would offer other RAM and storage variants as well.
We also get to see that the OnePlus 7 Pro would have a 6.67-inch Super Optic end-to-end display and feature a 48 MP + 16 MP + 5 MP triple camera setup at the back. Since the screen is completely notch-less, a pop-up front facing camera will take care of the selfies as was seen recently in some renders. The model number is shown as GM1915. Famed leakster Ishan Agarwal indicated that the OnePlus 7 will be offered in three variants with the following model numbers —
- OnePlus 7 — GM1901, GM1903, GM1905
- OnePlus 7 Pro — GM1911. GM1913, GM1915, GM1917
- OnePlus 7 Pro 5G — GM1920
He also posted an image, which shows that the tagline for the OnePlus 7 Pro would be, "Go Beyond Speed."
While OnePlus is yet to confirm any of this information, the OnePlus 7 series is expected to launch sometime in May and the Pro variant is also expected to launch in India at the same time. Till then, we'd suggest taking this information with a healthy dose of skepticism.
