Prolific leaker Digital Chat Station states that Xiaomi will release five Qualcomm Snapdragon 865-powered smartphones in the coming months. The phones are codenamed J20, J21, J1, J1S, and J1T, two of which could be Redmi devices. The leaker further adds that the phone codenamed J1S is already in the production line.

Xiaomi's ever-expanding repertoire of phones is all set to get even larger, according to Weibo stalwart Digital Chat Station. There are up to five new 5G-ready models in the works, J20, J21, J1, J1S, and J1T. These are likely internal codenames to the devices, and the actual phones will be released under a different moniker. The T and S suffixes could likely be Turbo and S variants of the same device.

Digital Chat Station adds that these devices will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. The yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 865+ gets a mention too. An earlier report stated that Qualcomm has no intention of producing a Snapdragon 865+ this time around, so one can't help wonder why Digital Chat Station named it. One of the comments on the post speculates that Xiaomi could also use a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC on one of the devices. It also states that at least two of these could be codenames for Redmi phones.

Digital Chat Station says that the device codenamed J1S is already on the production line in a follow-up post. We're probably looking at another affordable flagship from Xiaomi, details of which should emerge in the coming weeks.
