Deal | Latest HP Envy x360 13 with Ryzen 7 4700U, 512 GB NVMe SSD, and 8 GB RAM now on sale for $750 USD
Launched just earlier this year for $900 USD, the 2020 HP Envy x360 13 2-in-1 can now be found for $750 to make it one of the better deals you can find on a subnotebook convertible at the moment. The system is notable for its inclusion of a fast AMD Ryzen 7 4700U processor instead of a cheaper or slower Core i5 or Ryzen 5 which typically dominate this price range.
Aside from the CPU, this 2020 model carries significant chassis updates from the previous 2019 model as well. Most notably, the bottom "chin" bezel is now much narrower (11.73 mm vs. 25.3 mm) for a larger screen-to-body ratio (88 percent vs. 79 percent) and smaller, more compact footprint. The roomy 512 GB NVMe SSD is another surprise especially when competitors like Microsoft or Dell tend to offer half that or less for around the same price.
Downsides to this deal are the 8 GB of system RAM and lack of an integrated HDMI port. Unlike the removable SSD, RAM is soldered here meaning you'll be stuck with 8 GB for the life of the product. If all you're doing is web browsing, emailing, or video streaming, however, then this shouldn't be a huge an issue. A USB-C to HDMI adapter will work, too.
