This new 8-inch tablet has a 16:10 aspect ratio and a dedicated button that enables its reading mode, making it a great choice for watching videos, reading, or browsing the Web.

Although tablets sales are not as good as they used to be, LG is not dropping this market yet. The manufacturer's popular G Pad series has just reached the third generation, and the G Pad III 8.0 appears to be the first member of this family to reach the market. This slate has just been launched in South Korea, but a few Canadian carriers already have it up for sale.

The specs of the LG G Pad III 8.0 will not surprise anyone, since they are just what one would expect from a mid-ranger - 1.5 GHz octa-core processor (model not mentioned), 2 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage and microSD support, 5 MP front camera and 8 MP image snapper on the back, as well as a 4800 mAh battery. The list of connectivity capabilities includes Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, GPS, micro USB. Available in white or indigo black, G Pad III 8.0 comes loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

LG G Pad III 8.0 also features a dedicated button on the side that activates the reader mode, described by LG as "a feature that reduces the blue light to the eye side when surfing the web or reading e-books." The resolution (1,920X1,200 pixels) and aspect ratio of the IPS display also help to make the tablet easy on the eyes of its user as well.

The price of this tablet is about $280 USD in South Korea, while Fido and Rogers had a 4G LTE model with just 16 GB internal storage on sale for a few days already, but for roughly $185 USD.
