The LG G8X ThinQ, a sort of late-year G8 ThinQ refresh that launched at IFA 2019, will arrive in a new market in November 2019. Its US debut will also involve pre-orders starting from October 2019, which can be made through individual retailers such as Amazon, and also carrier-linked sales through Sprint and AT&T. These pre-release events will also incorporate the phone's Dual Screen accessory.
To recap, the G8X ThinQ clicks into 1 side of this device in order to turn it into something like the Microsoft Surface Neo. LG has announced that US units will support various specific modes for the resulting foldable-esque configuration, which include LG Smart Keyboard and LG Game Pad.
These, as one can imagine, turns the Dual Screen's additional display into separate virtual peripherals that control the G8X ThinQ's own FHD screen. The OEM has also stated that the former can be bundled with the latter when they go on sale in the US, and that the price for this deal will start at US$699. However, certain carrier plan-linked promotions might reduce the same to $300.
