LG V30 to go on sale in September
The LG G6 was launched earlier in the year but LG, for some reason, opted for the last-gen Snapdragon 821 instead of the new flagship Snapdragon 835. This move meant that it had a head start of a few months on other flagships but there's a chance the OEM now regrets that move, as it's certain that the subsequent releases of other flagships like the Galaxy S8, Xperia XZ Premium, and HTC U11 will have curtailed G6 sales. With that in mind, it's no surprise that LG is set to fast-track the release of their next flagship, the V30.
The V30 has been touted for an August 31 launch, which is earlier than the October releases of previous entries in that product line. Information points towards a September retail date, with home country Korea expected to get it in stores on the 15th and the US just two weeks later, on the 28th.
The LG V30 is expected to sport a 6" QHD curved OLED display, with up to 6GB of RAM, dual rear cameras, and possibly, a 5500mAh battery. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 and will run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat.
