LG Music Flow is a wireless music streaming system that arrived on the market almost two years ago. Its users are currently allowed to stream their content using Google Cast, but this will be replaced by Chromecast in the long run. However, in the coming weeks, LG will release a software update that finally brings two features LG Music Flow users have been asking for - multi-room and Google Home support.
According to an announcement posted yesterday on LG's Music Flow Forum, the company "has prepared" Google Multiroom functionality and are working with Google to add Google Home support as well. The same source also reveals that the new software is currently being tested and, once the OTA is ready for release, LG would announce it on the Music Flow Forum.
LG also confirmed that old and new models would be updated as well. Now, it only remains to see how long will it take for the testing stage to close. We will keep an eye on this and report back as soon as we hear anything new, so stay tuned.
