This lightweight 17-incher also packs on-die 32 GB LPDDR5-8533 RAM, 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, a bright enough 17-inch 2,560 x 1,600 panel with excellent colors, as well as two Thunderbolt 4 ports and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.

This year’s LG Gram 17 impressed with its energy efficient Intel Lunar Lake processor that allows the system to run for almost an entire day, but, as always, launch prices were targeted towards the premium sector, especially in the EU. Now that Black Friday is almost here, Best Buy is offering a generous $700 discount, bringing the price down to a more palatable $999.99.

While the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V does not really shine when it comes to processing power, our review reveals that the power efficiency is well above average, allowing the laptop to run for almost 22 hours on a 77 Wh battery in our Wi-Fi browsing test. The integrated Arc Graphics 140V GPU also provides playable frame rates even for more modern game titles and the on-die 32 GB LPDDR5-8533 RAM certainly helps in this regard. Storage is handled by a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.

Another strong feature for the 2025 LG Gram 17 is the IPS display that has touch functionality. The 17-inch 2,560 x 1,600 panel comes with excellent gamut coverage (96.8& DCI-P3, 100% sRGB and 85% aRGB), and overall brightness approaches 400 cd/m². The only downside seems to be the higher-than-average response time. An FHD webcam with IR sensor is included as well.

Port selection is solid with 2x Thunderbolt 4, 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen1, audio jack and HDMI 2.1 video out. Perhaps an SD card reader could be included for the upcoming refreshes considering the price. Wireless connectivity is provided through a speedy Wi-Fi 7 + BT 5.4 card.

LG has not modified the chassis from the previous gen so this year’s model remains one of the lightest 17-inchers out there at only 1.38 kg (3 lbs).
