The new Khadas Mind 2s is a sleek-looking mini PC that sports a commendably slim chassis with multiple expansion pathways. The Mind 2 arrived last year with relatively powerful Intel Core Ultra 100H processors and has now been refreshed with Arrow Lake-H chips.
As such, the Mind 2s can now be equipped with up to the Core Ultra 7 255H CPU, promising substantial performance improvements. The Core Ultra 7 255H sports a 16-core setup, including 6 high-performance Lion Cove cores, 8 high-efficiency Skymont cores, and 2 more Skymont low-power cores with lower clock speeds. In single-core and multi-core performance, the Core Ultra 7 255H is roughly in the same ballpark as the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 "Strix Point" APU and Ryzen 9 7940HX "Dragon Range" chip respectively. The system can be equipped with up to 64 GB of LPDDR5X-8400 memory, and 2 TB of PCIe storage thanks to its M.2 2230 slot. A second M.2 2230 slot is also present, offering upgradability down the road.
There is no support for dedicated graphics, although such functionality can be added utilizing the 256 GT/s Mind Link interface and the separately sold RTX 4060 Ti-powered Mind Graphics eGPU. At just 435 grams light and 20 mm thin, the Mind 2s mini PC is one of the most compact systems available on the market. The port selection is decent as well, sporting HDMI 2.1, Thunderbolt 4, USB4, as well as dual USB-A 3.2 Gen2 ports, whereas wireless communications are taken care of by Bluetooth 5.3 and WiFi 6E. A built-in 5.55 Wh battery is also present, offering 25 hours of standby time.
The Khadas Mind 2s mini PC will be available starting next month, although details regarding pricing are under wraps as of this writing. The Core Ultra 7 155H-powered Mind 2 mini PC retails for $1,099, which indicates that the Mind 2s will be priced at least a level higher.
