The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 has been around for a while now, having debuted in October 2024. As we discussed at the time, the Ace Pro 2 is relatively compact, thanks to 72 x 52 x 38 mm dimensions. While its size makes it ideal for mounting to handlebars or on a tripod, Insta has not left much to grip when holding the Ace Pro 2 in your hand.
In response, the company has released the Xplorer Grip Kit, which is also compatible with the Insta360 Ace Pro (curr. $279 on Amazon). As the video below shows, either action camera snaps into the new accessory, while a wrist strap should provide an added layer of security when shooting one-handed.
Insta360 has included a dedicated cold shoe shutter button too, which allows the Ace Pro 2 to be used like a regular compact camera. With that being said, one must return to the Ace Pro or Ace Pro 2's touchscreen to change any settings. Also, the Xplorer Grip 2 features three mounting points for adding accessories.
The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 Xplorer Grip Kit can be ordered on its own for $84.99. Alternatively, Insta360 sells the Xplorer Bundle for $419 and $439 in single and dual battery forms, respectively. For context, these prices only sit above Standard and Get-Set bundles in the Ace Pro 2's configuration options.
