Indie Roguelikes have been all the rage of late, with games like Hades 2 and Megabonk posting impressive sales numbers. If that wasn't enough, another game has entered the arena and launched with overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam: Ball x Pit.
As its name suggests, Ball x Pit is centred around using different types of balls to clear waves of enemies. And then there are lasers thrown into the mix for extra damage. The primary objective is to destroy bricks and progress through procedurally generated levels. As you progress, you get the option to combine multiple balls and create unique interactions. On top of that, it has a unique integration with Twitch that lets your chat decide which powerups/characters to pick during a run.
Right now, Ball x Pit has over 1,000 overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam with over 22,000 concurrent players. It can be bought for $14.99 on Steam. Alternatively, it is available on Xbox Game Pass and all popular consoles such as the PS4, Xbox and Switch. Any PC built in the past decade should be able to run it because it has low system requirements. And yes, it is certified for the Steam Deck and other handhelds.
