The Ice Ring from Ice-Watch and Omate is now available in the EU. This smart ring tracks biometrics such as heart rate and blood oxygen level. Other features include an accompanying app, exercise tracking with GPS via a connected smartphone, and a sleep quality score.

Ice-Watch and Omate have partnered to bring the Ice Ring to Europe. The smart health-tracking ring can track biometrics, including heart rate, heart rate variability, and blood oxygen level. You can also use the wearable to monitor your activity by logging steps and calorie burn. The smart ring can track workouts, with over 24 sports to choose from in-app, five of which are compatible with the GPS function.

The Ice Ring also tracks stress levels and sleep cycles, giving the quality of your rest a score between 0 and 100 based on the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). All insights are viewable in the accompanying app, available for iOS and Android; the gadget links to your phone via Bluetooth 5.1. A 20 mAh lithium polymer battery allows the device to run on a single charge for up to six days, fully recharging in 30 minutes.

The wearable is 3 mm (~0.12-in) thick, weighs under 3 g (~0.1 oz), and is rated as IP68 waterproof or water-resistant to 5ATM. You can choose from six sizes with Silver, Gold and Space Black finishes. You can now buy the Ice Ring in the EU for €199 at partner watch dealers like Louis Pion in France. This makes it €100 cheaper than the Oura smart ring. It is unclear whether or when the gadget could launch in other markets.
