Huawei reveals a new wide-design foldable phone set to launch next week

A few days ago, a sketch of the Huawei Pura X Max surfaced online, giving us an early idea of what the device might look like. Now, Huawei has officially revealed the foldable phone. In a series of posts on Weibo, the company shared the first official look at the device, confirming that the Pura X Max is real and coming soon.
While most attention in the foldable space is currently focused on upcoming devices like the Galaxy Wide Fold and the iPhone Fold, Huawei has decided to move early. The Pura X Max follows a wide foldable design instead of the tall, narrow style seen on many current foldable phones. This approach gives it a more tablet-like shape when unfolded, which could make it better for media and multitasking.
Huawei has not shared full specifications or pricing details yet, but the official images and videos reveal a triple rear camera setup and four color options: white, black, purple, and orange. Even though specs are still under wraps, the earlier sketch leak hinted at a 7.5-inch main display and a 5.3-inch outer screen. Interestingly, these sizes line up closely with what has been rumored for the Galaxy Wide Fold.
That said, pre-orders for the Huawei Pura X Max are going live today in China, with the device launching on April 20. The company has also not shared anything about a global release, so we’ll have to wait for that.
