Huawei continues to bring more devices onto EMUI 11, its latest in-house OS based on Android 10. It is unknown when Huawei will adopt Android 11, but EMUI 11 contains many new features over EMUI 10 and EMUI 10.1, as we have outlined previously.
Huawei is yet to begin pushing EMUI 11 to all eligible handsets, but the company has sent the OS update to more of them. For example, in Western and North-Eastern Europe, Huawei has now issued EMUI 11 to the Mate Xs, MatePad Pro and the MediaPad M6 (10.8-inch). It is worth noting that Huawei can take a few weeks or months before it delivers all update batches.
Additionally, the company claims to have delivered EMUI 11 to all P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ handsets in North-Eastern Europe. The same applies to other handsets in other regions, as outlined in the tables below.
Moreover, Huawei has finally detailed in what month EMUI 11 will land on all eligible devices. Previously, the company gave the vague scheduled date of Q1 2021. Consequently, we now know that all devices in all regions should have at least started receiving EMUI 11 by April 2021. It could be May or early June before Huawei wraps up its EMUI 11 update plans though, based on the speed it rolled out EMUI 10 and EMUI 10.1.
