CES 2016 | Huawei Watch gets two luxury editions

Huawei Watch Elegant and Jewel editions by Swarovski
Huawei Watch Elegant and Jewel
The Jewel and Elegant models are the result of Huawei's collaboration with Swarovski’s Gemstone Business and both target women.

Huawei Watch was announced back in March and has been available for purchase since September. Now, this smartwatch finally gets two editions for ladies that have been built together with Swarovski. Although they have both been unveiled at CES, Huawei Watch Jewel and Elegant will only hit the market in March.

According to the official press release, "the Jewel glistens and shines like nothing else available on the smartwatch market today" thanks to the gold-plated case that features no less than 68 Swarovski Zirconia synthetic stones of less than 0.06 inches in size. The Elegant edition offers a rose gold-plated case and a knurled pattern. Both these two new models come with genuine Italian leather straps in pearl white and sapphire blue, as well as 10 exclusive feminine watch faces.

The standard models, namely Huawei Watch Classic, Active and Elite, are already available in over 20 countries and regions, including Canada, the United States, Japan, Germany, or Switzerland. The two upcoming premium models for ladies will hit the same markets, but they are expected to become available in March. Unfortunately, pricing information is not available yet.

Although I have been writing about new software and hardware for almost a decade, I consider myself to be old school. I always enjoy listening to music on CD or tape instead of digital files and I will not even get into the touchscreen vs physical keys debate. However, I also enjoy new technology, as I now have the chance to take a look at the future every day. I joined the Notebookcheck crew back in 2013 and I have no plans to leave the ship anytime soon.
