Huawei Watch will get a successor simply known as Watch 2. A teaser posted on Weibo reveals that this smartwatch will be unveiled at the end of the month, during the Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona.

All the Huawei fans who are waiting for a new smart wearable from the Chinese brand could have their wishes fulfilled quite soon. As revealed in a teaser posted by Richard Yu, Huawei's consumer business group leader, the Huawei Watch 2 is scheduled to show up at MWC 2017.

Sadly, the image does not show any part of the new watch, only confirming its name and its date of arrival. Huawei already confirmed the date of its press event that will take place as part of MWC 2017 - Sunday, February 26. This event is expected to host "the global unveiling of a new flagship device," most likely the new flagship lineup known as P10. Huawei Watch 2 will probably be introduced as the smartwatch companion to go with the P10 handsets.

Since Android Wear 2.0 is already official, it is certain that the new smartwatch will run it out of the box. The rumors claim the Huawei Watch 2 would have a 4G cellular access option, WiFi, Bluetooth, as well as a more aggressive look than its predecessor.
